Caswell Advisory Group
Gregory Caswell
Greg co-founded CAG in 2008 and over time the practice has evolved into one focused exclusively on representing selling business owners of companies based (primarily) in New England, with enterprise (sale) values between $5-15M, across a range of industries. Greg's goal with every new CAG client is to develop an excellent client working relationship, and a marketing and sales process that is likely to produce the most successful result available, while mitigating confidentiality and deal risks. Greg has developed strong relationships within the New England transaction community, including with legal and accounting firms, private equity, private investment firms and family offices, and financial advisory firms in Maine, Boston/Greater Boston, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont, as well as other investment banks and commercial banks.
Prior to CAG, Greg had a successful career in commercial banking, including that of President/CEO of publicly traded, Portland, Maine-based Coastal Bank. First as Chief Lending Officer, then for his last seven years as CEO, Greg led the bank through its turnaround from the brink of FDIC closure (bank was subject to a cease-and-desist order and was on the FDIC's eight quarter failure list) to its successful re-emergence as a growing, profitable bank. The bank was eventually sold, and the sale represented a major win for pre- and post-reorganization shareholders, with the latter group achieving a 31.8% IRR.
Greg is also a co-founder and director of Nu:ionic Technologies, a Fredericton, New Brunswick and Tulsa, OK-based energy technology company. He has been a member of a number of not-for-profit boards, including six years on the Maine Board of Overseers, and is a long-term member of the Boston chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the New England chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange.

He provided senior debt in leveraged M & A transactions that included government guarantee programs, tranches of seller financing, and equity rollovers. Everett continues to be active on the Economic Development Commission for the City of Portsmouth, NH where he has resided for many years.
